The Phantoms of the Cities

It is my etiquette to greet them, those apparitions wandering in towns and cities, with a long gaze along which my joy of their existence flows. Not that their images resemble the ones of ghosts, but passersby usually don't get the idea of why someone stops there gazing at something they can not see. Ghost perhaps, people may quiver a little with the thought and walk away. Indeed, they do possess some qualities of a phantom. They are totally silent when taking moves. They appear with no sounds, disappearing with no sounds. A delicate statue as they are still; while an elegant performer as they walk. There are times when some slightly creepy sounds are unexpectedly heard in the midnight. It is they that are longing for love, those ghostly wanderers. Those unpredictable creatures are purely miracles to me in the dull cities. They don't trust you, by nature.
